WARM UP TIMES AT PERFORMANCE VENUES WILL BE ASSIGNED BY KFPA - MAXIMUM 15 MINUTES. - all Choirs MUST adhere to assigned warm up times - Time assignments will be noted on emailed competitive participant confirmations. - Admission to performance venue shall occur no earlier than 45 minutes prior to start of competitive choral evening 2. LIVE ACCOMPANIMENT ONLY. PRE-RECORDED ACCOMPANIMENT IS NOT PERMITTED. 3. All competitive chorus and choral societies MUST SUBMIT selection ON OR BEFORE FEBRUARY 15TH to: KAMLOOPS FESTIVAL OF THE PERFORMING ARTS BOX 162, KAMLOOPS, B.C. V2C 5K6 ATTENTION: CHORAL REPRESENTATIVE 4. In all Choral categories, five percent (5%) of the choir membership may exceed the specified age limit by no more that two (2) years.
CHORAL INFORMATION Any choral group meeting the respective requirements as listed below may be recommended by the adjudicator into the next (Provincial) level of competition provided an adequate standard of performance had been attained. While performance at the local festival is live, the subsequent competitions/adjudications will be based on recording of the two selections. At the Provincial level a choral adjudicator shall hear all recordings and select the choirs, which will represent BC at the National level. The winning recordings will be submitted to the National competition by the Provincial coordinator. Two appointed judges will hear recordings from all provinces and the winners of the five trophy competitions will then be notified. At the local level of the Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts, the choirs will be recorded on-site, during the competitions. this recording is the responsibility of the Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts.

BOURRET - 19 years and under - One selection must be sung in 3 or more parts Class 106 - DAVID OUCHTERLONY - 16 years of age and under - At least one selection must be sung in 2 or more parts Class 120 - Local Festival Class - May be recommended to proceed to the Provincial level to the David Ouchterlony class. - 14 years of age and under - One selection must be sung in 2 or more parts
Class 108 - FLORINE DESPRES - 12 years of age and under - At least one selection must be sung in 2 or more parts Class 121 - Local Festival Class - May be recommended to proceed to the Provincial level to the Florine Despres class - 10 years of age and under - 2 contrasting selections
