** Changes in 2010 Syllabus:

General Rules - see rule #9 - regarding changing performance numbers.
Dance - Modern Stage category now called "Stage Dance" to eliminate confusion with "Modern Dance"
             - category age changes to comply with Provincial standards
Strings - see rule #8 regarding changing performance numbers.
               - Concert Group now open to all ages, this category counts as ONE solo
Piano - see rule # 8  regarding changing performance numbers
Instrumental -see rule #12   regarding changing performance numbers
Guitar -see rule # 7  regarding changing performance numbers
Speech Arts - new category "Contemporary Dramatic Monologue/Contemporary Solo Scene - open to 16 years and under and up. (See category definitions)
                       - All solo entries 10 years and under now non-competitive/adjudication only (these entries will still be eligible for scholarships)

 

Registration Deadline is December 10th, 
late registration accepted to Dec 20th WITH A PENALTY FEE

Competitive and non-competitive classes in piano, woodwinds, brass, voice, strings, guitar, choral, speech & theatrical arts and dance

  

The dates for the 2010 Festival are February 21, 2010 to March 21, 2010
(Spring break is March 7th - March 13th)
The Dance portion will commence March 14th, 2010 to March 19th, 2010
Honours Concert will be March 21, 2010

Programs may be purchased (after Feb 1, 2010) for $10.00 each at Long & McQuade , United Conservatory of Music, Lee's Music, the Accent Inns Festival Office(after Feb. 21st, 2010) and at every venue.  Purchasing the program allows one adult free admission to all venues during the festival EXCEPT to the Honours Concert.

Without a program purchase, the admission is $2.00 per person per session at all venues.

Accompanied children 6 years of age and under will be admitted free

The Honours Concert  will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 2:00pm
@ Sagebrush Theatre

Entry to Honours Concert is:
     Adults $7.00
Students (6-18) and Seniors $5.00
Accompanied Children under 6 yrs of age - Free
