The Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts (KFPA) is a non-profit registered under the British Columbia Society Act.
Our goal is to encourage the development of the performing arts in Kamloops and the surrounding areas through our annual three-week performance Festival.
The Festival promotes education and artistic growth in dance, including ballet, modern dance and stage dance; music, including choral, harp, guitar, instrumental, piano and strings; and voice, including speech and dramatic arts.
Participants receive adjudication and instruction from highly qualified adjudicators from BC and Alberta. Eligible entrants are encouraged to advance to the annual provincial festival, which is held in a different BC community each year.
In the words of Sir H. Walford Davis, "In Music Festivals, the object is not to gain a prize or defeat a rival, but to pace one another on the road to excellence."
