Heather is a diverse performer trained in many forms of dance and theatre at Caulfield School of Dance.
Following graduation, Heather began dancing for Josh Beamish’s Move: the Company in 2005. For the next seven years she performed, toured and grew to be artistically involved in many of Josh’s new creations. After seeing stages all over the world Heather planted her feet back in Vancouver and has enjoyed working with many members of the dance community on new creations and remounts.
In 2012 Heather found a new home with the incredible talents of Joe Laughlin in his company Joe Ink.
In May 2022 Heather performed Joe’s newest work; Dance:Craft and for the past year has been touring across Canada and Europe as the Rehearsal Director for Saudade, a full-length work by Josh Beamish.
From a very young age Liz knew she wanted to perform. Her career has allowed her to experience a wide scope of what the industry has to offer.
Liz started performing with Princess Cruises. She was able to exercise all of her skills in dance, acting and singing when the love of the stage drew her to the world of musical theatre. Throughout her career she got to play a wide variety of characters.
Liz can be seen on various episodes of the CW Network’s Hellcats as a feature dancer, and as Ashley Tisdale’s dance double. As Maggie Lawsons’s dance double in the musical episode of Psych, a featured dancer in ABS’s Once Upon a Time, Nickelodeon’s Jinxed, The Layover and most recently on NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist and soon to air Rise of the Pink Ladies.
Dina is currently Music Director of the Kamloops Symphony (British-Columbia) where she is known for her contagious dynamism and her audacious programming.
Regularly invited to conduct in Canada and overseas, Dina Gilbert attracts critical acclaim for her energy, precision and versatility.
Over the years, Dina has been invited by leading Canadian orchestras including the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Hamilton Philharmonic and the Orchestre symphonique de Québec. She also conducted performances in Oregon and North-Carolina (United States), in Colombia, Spain, France, and in Niigata and Tokyo (Japan).
As the founder and artistic director of the Ensemble Arkea, a Montreal-based chamber orchestra, she premiered over thirty works from emerging Canadian composers.
As a concert pianist, Jocelyn has performed at festivals across Canada, the US and Spain. With many years of competition experience, she has garnered distinctions on national and international stages.
Jocelyn holds a Bachelor of Music from the UBC School of Music, Master of Music from the Juilliard School, an Artist Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the City University of New York Graduate Center.
As an educator, Jocelyn lectured on topics in music theory while on the faculty of Hunter College (New York), guided children through private piano instruction at the Nord Anglia International School and has years of experience teaching secondary piano in the college division at the Juilliard School. She currently serves on the piano and chamber music faculty at the Vancouver Academy of Music.
Quoted by the Chronicle Herald as ‘A superb musician,’ pianist Susanne Ruberg-Gordon is a highly-regarded chamber musician and collaborative pianist. She has performed in Canada, the US and China.
Susanne is the pianist and core member of the Juno nominated Land’s End Ensemble in Calgary, a piano-trio that is dedicated to excellence in performance and recording of Canadian and International new music, and to enriching collaborations with eminent composers and artists.
A passionate educator, Susanne is on faculty at the Mount Royal University Conservatory Academy and APP Programs where she teaches piano, chamber music and is the artistic facilitator of collaborative pianists.
Since 2001, she has been a Collaborative Artist for Morningside Music Bridge program in Canada, China, Poland and the US.
Susan has wide experience in all areas of theatre, performance, vocal coaching, and teaching.
She is on faculty at the Conservatory at Mount Royal University and maintains a busy schedule teaching private and group lessons, as well as theory classes and adjudicating across the country. In addition, she coordinates Presentation MRU, a non-competitive speech festival for Calgary speech students.
Susan is an examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music, on the artist roster for the Calgary Board of Education and also examines for the International Schools Association in Argentina and Uruguay.
She holds a B.F.A. in Drama from the University of Calgary, is an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto as well as an Associate and Licentiate of the Mount Royal College Conservatory.
For the past 30 years, Garth Williams has worked as a music educator, private teacher, and professional musician.
As a music educator, Garth established string programs in three different school districts in BC, as well as establishing music programs in two secondary schools in Vancouver.
Garth began his professional career as a violinist with the Vancouver Symphony. In addition, he has played with the Victoria Symphony, the CBC Chamber Orchestra and the Vancouver Opera Orchestra. During the past 20 years, he has performed with the Gala Players of Vancouver and has conducted Symphony Pacifica. When he is not playing professionally, he is generally conducting or arranging music for Youth Orchestras. He conducted the Delta Youth Orchestra, the Vancouver Youth Symphony and is Founder and past Musical Director of the Summer Pops Youth Orchestra of Vancouver.
Mezzo-soprano Melanie Adams is a prominent member of Vancouver’s music community. As a soloist, her repertoire ranges from early music to world premieres of new music by prominent Canadian composers.
Melanie has collaborated with many musical and theatrical organizations, including the Erato Ensemble, the Pacific Baroque Orchestra, the Vancouver Island Symphony, the Fraser Valley Symphony, Redshift Musical Society, and the Health Arts Society of BC.
For 20 years, Melanie was very well-known as a member of Vancouver’s musica intima, with whom she has toured extensively in Canada and the United States, as well as France, Ireland, and Korea, and has appeared on 8 of their 10 recordings.
Since January 2012, she has also been a soloist and section leader with the Vancouver Cantata Singers.
