Lindsay Harpham is a Vancouver-based contemporary artist, dance educator, choreographer, and adjudicator originally from Saskatchewan. Her career spans international tours and collaborations with acclaimed companies such as Litz Dance, Red Sky Performance, Larchaud Dance Project, Gadfly, ACE Dance Theatre, Hit and Run Productions, Remai Modern, Mucci Dance, and Nickelodeon. She has performed across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Australia, continually seeking work that challenges and inspires her as deeply as the art itself.
Highlights of her performance career include the Australia Joint Dance Congress, appearances with the Toronto and Vancouver Symphony Orchestras, Remai Modern’s LUGO, and the renowned Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival—experiences that continue to shape her expansive view of what’s possible through movement.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology with a major in Human Kinetics, a foundation that informs both her creative and pedagogical practices. She co-founded wherewe collective, a platform that offers performance and educational opportunities for emerging and pre-professional artists. Through the collective, she runs a summer sleep-away intensive, wherewe CONNECT, and is preparing to launch a professional residency in 2026.
As a creator, Lindsay has recently choreographed and directed several dance films, including Criss Cross, Synonymous Red, SHH, and Behind Us, which premiered in a hybrid live performance in Fall 2023. Her cross-disciplinary approach also led to the development of a cross-conditioning syllabus tailored for dancers, which she has taught to post-secondary programs such as Modus Operandi, Source Dance Company, SFU, and Lamondance.
Alongside her teaching, adjudicating, and dance work, she is a Kinesiologist at the Performance Clinic at Ballet BC Headquarters, focusing on injury rehabilitation and pre-habilitation for dancers, and high-performance athletes. Lindsay is passionate about movement as both an expressive and functional art form, and is committed to fostering sustainable, embodied practices in the next generation of artists.
Jennifer Walsh is an accomplished dance educator, choreographer, and performer with a career spanning over three decades in the dance industry. A Level 2 Certified Adjudicator through the Dance Leadership Institute, Jennifer brings a wealth of technical knowledge and professional stage experience to the judges' table.
Her pedagogical foundation is rooted in prestigious international training, including Toronto Metropolitan University, Randolph Academy and Pineapple Studios (London). Jennifer holds BATD Associate Teacher Certification in Tap, Jazz, and Ballet, and has served on the faculties of numerous esteemed studios across British Columbia and the UK.
As a performer, Jennifer’s diverse credits range from Paramount Canada’s Wonderland and the Canadian National Exhibition to featured appearances on City TV’s Electric Circus and the RSVP Canadian Direct Marketing Awards.
Her choreography work is equally varied, encompassing award-winning competitive routines since 1995 and musical theatre productions, most recently choreographing Cabaret for Three Legged Dog Productions and Beetlejuice for SD71.
Specializing in Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre, Jennifer is known for her inclusive approach and her ability to connect with dancers of all ages and abilities. She is currently on faculty at Triple Heat Dance in Courtenay, BC and is also a guest dance educator within her local school district. As an educator and choreographer Jennifer brings extensive experience, thoughtful insight, and a deep passion for the performing arts. As an adjudicator she is dedicated to providing constructive, technical and artistic feedback that inspires growth, expression and a lifelong passion for movement. She loves the connection to others that her work brings and she strives to motivate, encourage and support all of those within the dance community and beyond.
A life-long resident of the West Coast, Olivia Martin holds the unique honour of being the first bassoonist to get her start in Ucluelet, BC. Currently based out of Vancouver, she is a busy freelance musician and teacher, working with many ensembles throughout the province.
Olivia has held the position of Principal Bassoonist in the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra since 2002 and has played with the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra since 1999. A graduate of the University of Victoria, she performs regularly on both bassoon and contrabassoon with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Victoria Symphony and the Okanagan Symphony. Olivia is also a founding member of the Vancouver-based chamber group Cascadia Reed Quintet. She has toured with the Vancouver Symphony on their 2008 Asia-Pacific Tour as well as with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.
As a soloist, she has performed with the KSO a number of times, most notably with Mozetich’s Concerto for Bassoon and String Orchestra in 2017 and Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto KV 191 in 2010. She will be soloist with the Kamloops Symphony in their current season, performing 2 pieces by Canadian composer Matthieu Lussier. In 2011 she appeared as an alumnus guest artist with the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra, performing Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante KV297b. In the non-classical world, Olivia’s unique bassoon sound can be heard on the albums Live in Paris by Jamie Drouin and Huzzah! by the Ford Pier Vengeance Trio.
Cherith Alexander is a dynamic pianist based in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. As a respected piano and music theory teacher in the community for thirty years she has worked with students of all ages and levels, many of whom have won provincial awards and RCM gold medals and even more importantly have gone on to become lifelong music lovers and even professional musicians and music educators.
Cherith is passionate about the value of music festivals and has had the privilege of adjudicating at over fifty festivals throughout Western Canada including Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina, and the Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver Kiwanis Festivals. In 2017 she developed curriculum and facilitated the first “Adjudicator Boot Camp” in Saskatchewan which was a workshop designed to train and inspire new and current adjudicators in her province. Cherith is also an enthusiastic member of the RCM College of Examiners and is currently involved in mentoring new adjudicators and examiners, which is a source of great joy.
An experienced collaborative pianist and chamber musician, Cherith has performed with many renowned musicians and especially enjoys coaching young musicians “from the piano bench.”
Cherith was educated at the University of British Columbia where she was a pupil of Kum Sing Lee. Other influential teachers in her life included William Moore of the University of Regina and Marcelle Guidos of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan under whose direction she completed her ARCT at the age of fifteen.
Cherith and her husband Tim live on their grain farm and enjoy travelling, particularly to visit their young adult children who work and study in Toronto, Waterloo and Calgary.
A native Calgarian, Kathy Dornian is a nationally respected pedagogue, chamber musician, adjudicator and examiner. She earned a Master of Music Degree in piano performance from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Education and Kodaly Fine Arts Diploma from the University of Calgary. Her education was enriched by post-graduate performance studies at the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. Her teachers have included Marilyn Engle, Peter Smith and Edith Hambalko, with masterclass enrichment from many notable artists.
Since 1985, Kathy Dornian has served on the faculty at Mount Royal University Conservatory where she pursues an extensive and versatile career as a musician. She has built a solid reputation over the years as a sensitive and accomplished teacher, accompanist and chamber partner. She served as artistic collaborator with the internationally recognized Morningside Music Bridge Program for many years, an affiliation which has taken her to Shanghai and Poland. She also served as piano coordinator of the Academy of Music, a prestigious and nationally renowned program for gifted young musicians. Through this program, she has worked with and closely observed many internationally respected teachers including Kum Sing Lee, Anton Kuerti, Jeno Jando, Jon Kimura Parker, Steven Kovacavich and Angela Hewitt, to name just a few. As a performer, she has been heard in concert with many prominent and distinguished musicians including James Campbell and David Schifrin. She travels throughout Canada and the United States as an adjudicator, workshop clinician and as a senior examiner for RCM Examinations. She has been one of the RCM pioneers since 2020 in online exam delivery. Kathy was also a visiting faculty member of the renowned Central Conservatory and Middle School in Beijing, China.
In 2019, Kathy was awarded the prestigious national ‘Teacher of Distinction Award’ by the Royal Conservatory of Music. She has cultivated her collaborative and teaching career with equal success and enthusiasm and continues to pursue her lifelong passion for excellence in music education. As a chamber partner, she is equally at home with all instruments and as a teacher, she has successfully worked with all levels and ages of students. Known as a kind, inspiring and imaginative educator who fosters keenness and curiosity in her students, she is certainly one of Calgary’s most sought-after and in-demand teachers. Her students are frequent award and scholarship winners in festivals and national competitions. They consistently achieve high results in examinations, and many have been accepted into programs such as Morningside Music Bridge and at post-secondary institutions. Many of her former students have forged on to create successful careers of their own in the music profession, although she is equally proud of those who have chosen other fields but maintain their passion for music and continue to show support for the arts.
Kathy is the proud mother of twin sons Jonathan, a psychiatrist and mountain climber and Patrick, a data scientist and biking enthusiast. She is also the proud ‘adopted’ mother of internationally renowned concert pianist Yuja Wang. She is married to Paul Dornian, long-time former director of the Conservatory at Mount Royal University and former President and CEO of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, founder and current CEO/Director of Morningside Music Bridge. Kathy speaks fluent Hungarian and enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking, reading, biking and travelling in her spare time.
Susan Bertoia is delighted to be a part of the Kamloops Festival of the Arts and supporting the arts in the community.
She has served as Speech Arts adjudicator at festivals throughout BC for over 20 years, is an award-winning theatre actor; an Adjunct Professor in UBC’s Theatre Department; an independent teaching artist at secondary and elementary schools; a director of theatre and film; a playwright; a dramaturg and artistic director of her company Bertoia (BellaLuna) Productions.
Recently Susan was awarded the ‘Excellence in Drama Education’ through ABCDE. She holds a BFA from UBC and has extensive training in mask and commedia mask performance.

Mame Helise Goehner, a lyrical soprano has been performing and studying music since the age of six. Studying under the expertise of Opera Nuova’s founder Kim Mattice Wanat and Canada’s top baritone Peter Barcza, she has won several major scholarships and festivals throughout Canada and Europe.
Mame is currently the conductor of Victoria Children’s Choir, Past President of Choir Alberta and owns and runs two thriving music schools in Victoria, BC and Calgary, AB. She is highly sought after to do workshops, masterclasses and adjudicating across Alberta and British Columbia. Not only was Mame ranked Alberta’s top Musical Theatre performer in 2001, her students are also ranked at the top receiving Provincial Festival placements and Gold Awards for the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Mame Goehner was a prominent figure on many stages in Alberta until she made her move to Vancouver where studying at the University of British Columbia, she completed her BMus and MMus under the tutelage of Bruce Pullan and Nancy Hermiston. Mame was the lead soprano at West Point Grey United Church, and a lead member of the UBC Opera Ensemble.
Mame has toured throughout Europe, personally sang for the Queen of England and has showcased many private recitals and performances in Canada. Mame has produced and directed multiple productions across Alberta and British Columbia, including several productions for Victoria’s Saltwater Theatre Company.
Mame is experienced in lieder, opera, 20th Century art song, musical theatre, pop and jazz. Her ability to combine these genres in her performances and teaching technique is extremely unique and sought after. When not singing and teaching, she can be found camping and surfing with her husband and two children.
