Box 162 Kamloops, BC V2C 5K6
The Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts is an annual three-week event in Kamloops, British Columbia, that promotes the development of performing arts in the region. It offers opportunities for young people in dance, music, and speech and dramatic arts to participate in competitive and non-competitive classes, receive adjudication and instruction, and potentially advance to the provincial festival.
The festival, which started in 1931, is the longest-running arts festival in Kamloops.
"IN MUSIC FESTIVALS, THE OBJECT IS NOT TO GAIN A PRIZE OR DEFEAT A RIVAL, BUT TO PACE ONE ANOTHER ON THE ROAD TO EXCELLENCE."
